A six kilometre stretch of beach hidden away at the bottom of some
rugged hillside, Senggigi has some of the most picturesque beaches
to be found. Azure blue water fades into deep blue off the white
sandy beaches that are tucked into small bays with towering palm
tress. Take time to travel to the north on the coastal road for
some breathtakingly beautiful scenery and on a clear day you can
see Mt. Agung on Bali.
Senggigi was the first area to develop as a beach resort and as
such Senggigi Beach offers a wide selection of hotel accommodations
to fit any budget. As this is where you'll find most restaurants,
nightclubs and shops, Senggigi is where most visitors will stay
on Lombok - and truth be told it's hard to leave. Swimming is safe
and snorkeling is possible.
About 30 minutes north of Selaparang Airport and 45 minutes or so
from the ferry dock of Lembar, the journey into Senggigi is delightful
ride through rural Indonesia. FYI, in order to remain objective
hotels are listed in alphabetical order. We don't favor any hotel
for any reason.
